Power4Life is committed to providing HELP, HEALING, AND HOPE in the inner city communities that we serve in the Houston, Texas area. We have heard many testimonials of lives that have been changed by being connected with Power4Life and hearing the Gospel. We have a commitment to being a viable presence by directly impacting the residents through outreach, community service, promoting health and wellness programs and initiatives, and fostering relationships with individuals and families to improve lives.
Residents who attend our events and celebrations hear an inspirational message, enjoy a wonderful catered meal, and qualify to always receive items such as gift cards, groceries, personal care items, clothing, toys, educational materials, and/or other donated items to help support the individuals and families. Many of the residents that attend are truly in need -- young children, growing families, individuals, as well as senior citizens. Power4Life has a HUGE growing need to help assist even more individual and families, due to major growth and expansion of our programs and events.

Power Point - Monthly services that allow residents from all housing developments are invited to attend to hear an encouraging message and
free catered meal. These services are open for the general public to attend. Those in attendance can also qualify for gift cards for food and personal
care items.
Power Praise, Prayer, and Dinner - Held throughout the year on whereby residents can come to the community building for prayer, an encouraging message and a light meal. It provides Power4Life an opportunity to connect with residents on an intimate level. Those in attendance can qualify for gift cards for food and personal care items .
Megaservices (held throughout the year)
**Note: Megaservices are comprised of residents from Cuney Homes, Kelly Village, The Brittons, The Pleasant Hill Village, Clayton Homes coming together to worship at The Victual in 5th Ward**
Annual Back2School Blessing (September)
Students and families who attend are provided with school supplies, backpacks, gift cards for purchase of uniforms and other essential items needed to start the school year successfully.
Annual Thanksgiving & Praise (November)
Families have the opportunity to enjoy a full Thanksgiving Meal with all the trimmings. Families can qualify to receive additional gift cards, groceries, clothing, and other items for the Holiday Season.
Annual Holiday Celebration of the King (December)
Families have the opportunity to enjoy a full holiday meal with all the trimmings, and qualify for gift cards and toys, gifts specifically for children, youth, and adults.
Annual Power of Freedom (January)
Individuals and families that attend enjoy a gospel praise celebration, as well as celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King.
Annual Resurrection Service (March)
Individuals and families that attend can enjoy a gospel celebration,a holiday dinner, as well as receive a donation of gift cards or a bag of groceries.
The Ultimate Day of Giving (May)
An annual day focused on giving back to meet the needs of others. Attendees can receive personal care items, clothing, and furniture with emphasis on special and fun giveaways such as TV's, bicycles, and fans. Select families can receive new items such as furniture, beds, and gift cards.
Annual Power Prophetic Brunch (June)
Individuals and families that attend can enjoy exciting gospel worship, a lavish brunch, and personalized prayer for their individual & family needs.
Scholarships
Diane Sheffield Scholarship - In honor of the former president of the Cuney Homes Resident Council, the Diane Sheffield Scholarship is awarded to an individual(s) who exemplifies the legacy of Ms. Sheffield — compassion to others through community outreach.
The Johnson/Smith AND Simpson/Traylor Scholarship" (Named in honor of the grandparents of Pastor Catherine Smith
and Minister Madelyn Traylor) - Scholarship awarded to a individual(s) who has demonstrated a commitment of helping those who are in need and is a first generation college student.
Building Better Lives Program
Power4Life helps families who are in need of furniture and essential home necessities when they are moving into a new home or in need of assistance at their current residence.
